Copyright and DMCA Policy

Manaflo ships no content from any commercial game publisher. Most of what is in the vault was created and published by the people who use Manaflo, and some of it was created and published by us. This page explains how to report content you believe infringes your copyright, and how the person who posted it can respond.

Effective date: September 11, 2026

Designated Agent

We have designated the following agent to receive notices of claimed copyright infringement. A notice sent anywhere else may not reach the agent and may not be acted on.

Sending a Notice of Claimed Infringement

To be effective, a notice must be a written communication that includes substantially all of the following. A notice missing these elements is not a valid notice, and we may not act on it.

  • A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner, or of a person authorized to act on their behalf
  • Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
  • Identification of the material you claim is infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it, such as the page address
  • Your name, address, telephone number, and email address
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  • A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on their behalf

What Happens After a Notice

  • We check the notice for the elements listed above. If it is incomplete, we tell you what is missing rather than acting on it.
  • If the notice is complete, we promptly remove the content from public view. Content is unpublished rather than deleted, so that it can be restored if a counter-notification succeeds.
  • We notify the person who published the content and provide them a copy of the notice, which includes the contact details you supplied.
  • They may send a counter-notification. If they do, we forward it to you.

Counter-Notification

If your content was removed and you believe it was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notification to the agent above. It must include substantially all of the following.

  • Your physical or electronic signature
  • Identification of the material that was removed, and the location where it appeared before it was removed
  • A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that you have a good faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification
  • Your name, address, and telephone number
  • A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the district where you live, or where Manaflo is located if you are outside the United States, and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the notice

Restoring Removed Content

We forward a valid counter-notification to the person who sent the original notice. Unless they notify us that they have filed a court action seeking to restrain the activity, we restore the content between 10 and 14 business days after we receive the counter-notification.

Content We Published Ourselves

A small part of the vault was created and published by Manaflo rather than by a user. If your notice concerns one of those entries, send it to the agent above in the same way. We handle those directly instead of through the counter-notification process, because there is no other party to forward the notice to.

We Do Not Decide Which Party Is Right

We process notices and counter-notifications as described on this page. We do not judge whether a claim has merit. Copyright does not protect game mechanics, rules systems, or the names of things, so a claim that two characters, items, or spells resemble one another is often not a copyright question. Where the parties disagree about the merits, that dispute is between them, and the counter-notification process above is how it gets resolved.

Repeat Infringers

In appropriate circumstances we terminate the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe. We keep a record of the notices we receive and of the action taken on each.

See the Terms of Service

Knowingly False Claims

Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), a person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that material was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages, including costs and attorney's fees. Send a notice only about content you genuinely believe infringes a copyright you hold.

For anything that is not a copyright matter, please use our contact page.
