Getting Started
Base Membership
Base Membership unlocks the tools you need to run campaigns and build a library you can reuse.
If you plan to host games or build lots of characters, this is the plan designed for that workflow.
Quick Notes
- New accounts start with a 14 day free Base trial.
- Host unlimited games as a GM.
- Create unlimited solo character sheets, where the free plan allows five.
- Keep a Library and publish to the Vault.
- Connect Discord in Settings to get the Council Member role.
Core Base capabilities
- Hosting: Base users can create and host games. Joining games is free for everyone.
- Scale: unlimited hosted games and unlimited solo character sheets, where the free plan allows five sheets.
- Library: keep your own copies of characters, spells, items and shops outside any one game, and publish them to the Vault. See Vault & Library for what that involves.
- Reuse across games: sending content to your Library and adding it back into a game are both Base actions.
Browsing the Vault and viewing creator profiles are free and need no membership.
Discord and the Council Member role
With an active Base subscription, you can connect Discord from User Settings.
- Connecting Discord gives your account the Council Member role.
- For now the role is cosmetic, a color and a badge on your profile in the server. Every channel is open to everyone, member or not.
- The Discord Connection panel in Settings shows whether you are connected, and holds the connect, resync and disconnect actions.
- If role status looks out of date, resync it from that panel.
Where to manage this
- Go to Pricing to upgrade and review plan differences.
- Go to Settings to connect Discord, manage your linked account status, and manage billing.
- Go to My Library to use what Base unlocks, and Browse the Vault to see what others have published.
