Shops are where your character spends money. You can buy from the shelves at the listed price, or open a barter and negotiate a deal with the host directly.
Quick Notes
Find a shop

The Shops page lists every shop currently open to you. If the host has none open it says No shops are open.
Search by name to narrow the list, and Clear search and all filters resets everything at once.
Sort and filter the list

The sort control cycles as you press it: Sort by Name, then Sorted A-Z, then Sorted Z-A, then back to unsorted.
A second toggle narrows the list to only the shops you are already bartering with. It is hidden when you have no barters running.
Read a shop card

Cards tell you how a shop prices before you walk in: Marked up means it charges above list price, Discounted means below.
A card takes you into the shop, and a second target on it jumps straight to your barter with that shop if you have one open.
Browse the stock

Inside a shop, search the shelves with Search stock... and order them with Sort, ordering by name, by price, by how much is in stock, by weight or by respect required.
Clear search and sorting puts the shelves back to how you found them. An empty shop reads The shelves are empty.
Check your wallet

Wallet shows what your character currently has to spend without leaving the shop.
Each item also carries its Weight, and a Description if the host wrote one.
Buy something

Buying an item opens a window titled with the item's name. Set a Quantity, then choose which coins you are paying with.
It works the arithmetic out for you: Paying against Cost, and Total After Purchase so you can see what you will be left with. Buy stays unavailable while you are short.
You do not need the exact coins. Pay more than the price and Change Back appears with what the shop owes you, made up of the largest coins your game's conversion rates allow. Hand over a gold for something priced in copper and the difference comes back as silver and copper rather than being lost.
Total After Purchase counts that change as money you keep, so it reads the same whether you paid to the copper or overpaid and took the difference back.
An item the shop has run out of reads The shop has none of these left and shows as Out of Stock.
Start a barter

When the listed price is not the whole story, Start a barter? opens a negotiation with the host instead.
A barter is a live two-sided table, the same shape as a trade with another player.
Build a barter offer

Add Items to Barter puts your goods on the table and Money to Barter puts coin down. Each line has Change quantity and Take off the table.
If you spend or lose something you have already promised, the line warns you: lower the quantity or take it off, or the trade will be refused.
Confirm and complete a barter

Confirm locks your side so it cannot change under the host. Pressing it again withdraws the confirmation.
When both sides have confirmed, Complete finishes the deal after asking Complete this barter?. End Barter walks away with nothing exchanged.
