Settings

Game Settings is where a game becomes yours: its name and image, the currency your world uses, the skills your table plays with, who has access, and how to close it down.

Quick Notes

  • Skill changes reach every character in the game, not just new ones.
  • Currency conversion is anchored on copper.
  • The invite code can be hidden while you are streaming.

Dark mode

Dark mode

The first row on the page switches this game's appearance between light and dark.

Name the game

Name the game

Game Name has a pencil beside it that opens Rename. This is the name your players see in their joined games list.

Give the game an image

Give the game an image

Upload Image sets the picture that represents the game on dashboards, worth doing when a player is in several games at once.

Rename your currency

Rename your currency

Change Currency Names replaces copper, silver, gold and platinum with whatever your setting uses. The new names appear everywhere money does.

Set conversion rates

Set conversion rates

Currency Conversion defines how the coins relate, expressed against copper: so many copper to a silver, and so on up.

Every price, wallet and trade in the game uses these rates, so an unusual economy stays consistent without anyone doing mental arithmetic.

They also decide the coins a player gets back when they overpay in a shop, because change is handed over in the largest denominations the rates can make it from.

Add a custom skill

Add a custom skill

Each stat row has a plus that adds a custom skill beneath it, already attached to that stat.

Disable and re-enable default skills

Disable and re-enable default skills

Default skills can be turned off for tables that do not use them, and turned back on later. The app asks Disable Default Skill? or Enable Default Skill? first.

Not every stat has default skills to disable, so pick one that does if you are looking for this.

Delete a custom skill

Delete a custom skill

Delete Custom Skill? removes one for good.

Read the warning before confirming: any addons and status effects tied to that skill are deleted from every character in the game, not just from the skill list.

Create or refresh the invite code

Create or refresh the invite code

A game with no code yet shows Create Invite Code. Once it exists, refreshing replaces it with a new one, which is how you stop an old code being reused.

Hide and copy the code

Hide and copy the code

The code can be hidden, which matters when you are streaming or screen sharing, and copied when you are ready to send it.

Copying is unavailable once a code has expired, so you cannot hand out something that will not work.

Manage who is in the game

Manage who is in the game

Users In Game lists the accounts that have joined, with the username each chose for this game.

Remove User in Game? takes someone out. Their character stays, and can be reassigned to somebody else.

Delete the game

Delete the game

Delete Game? removes the game and everything in it. This is the one action on the page with nothing behind it: characters, items, shops, notes and maps all go.
