Printable Sheet

A printable sheet turns your character into pages for the table: US Letter, with boxes to tick for hit dice, death saves and spell slots as a session goes.

You design how it looks and what it includes once, then download it as a PDF whenever you want a fresh copy. The PDF always prints your character as they are right now.

Quick Notes

  • The preview changes as you do, but nothing is kept until you press Save.
  • Download PDF prints the saved design, never unsaved changes.
  • Designing and previewing are free. Downloading the PDF is part of Base.

Open the sheet designer

Open the sheet designer

Character Sheet on your character's Bio page opens the designer. The controls are on the left, and the right shows every page of the sheet as it will print, with the page count in the corner.

A host opens the same designer for any character in their game from Character Sheet on that character's row in the Characters table.

Start from a preset

Start from a preset

Preset sets every section at once. Simple is a short run of what you reach for in a fight, and lists only the items you are carrying. Standard and Complete start each part of the sheet on a page of its own.

Standard prints your prepared spells and ends with a ruled page for notes. Complete prints every spell and your custom rolls, and leaves out the notes page.

Change any section after picking a preset and it reads Custom.

Choose what prints

Choose what prints

Sections sorts every part of the sheet into Identity, Vitals, Stats and skills, At the table, Actions and spells and Gear. Open a group and untick anything you don't want printed. Each group shows how many of its parts are on.

The page count in the preview follows along, so you can see what each part costs in paper.

Choose which spells print

Spell list decides which spells make it onto the sheet: Prepared spells, Known spells, or All of them. Cantrips always print.

The boxes beside each spell follow the choice. A list of known spells gets a box to tick when you prepare one, and a list of all of them gets two.

Pick a palette

Pick a palette

Palette sets the paper, ink and accent colors together. Each swatch is drawn in its own paper and ink, and the preview recolors the moment you pick one.

The last two are dark paper. They look striking on screen and use a lot of ink on a printer.

The rest of the look

Font style sets the typeface for the whole sheet: Carved, Quiet or Legible. Name size makes the character's name bigger or smaller, and stops at the largest size that still fits the nameplate in that font.

Border frames every page, from None to Hand-drawn. Containers decides how values sit on the page: in Filled boxes, Outlined boxes, or Open, with just a line under each value.

Portrait shows your character's picture Framed or Bare, or leaves the space Empty. Background puts an image behind every page, with Background fade to keep the writing readable over it. Black and white takes every color out, pictures included, for a printer with one cartridge.

Save or discard

Save or discard

Nothing you change is kept until you press Save, in the bar at the bottom of the controls. The bar reads Unsaved changes while there is something to keep and All changes saved once there isn't. Discard puts the design back to how it was last saved.

Leaving the page with unsaved changes asks first, whether you use the back arrow, the menu or your browser's back button.

Download the PDF

Download the PDF

Download PDF sits in the same bar. It prints your saved design with your character as they are right now. If anything has changed since the last PDF was made, it builds a new one first, and the download starts on its own when it's ready.

Unsaved changes are never in the PDF, and the bar says so while you have some.

What you need to download

A design has to be saved at least once before there is anything to download, so Download PDF stays unavailable until you press Save for the first time. Saving the defaults as they are counts.

Downloading the PDF is part of Base.
