Host Maps builds on the same map experience players use, but gives you full control over what is visible, what is editable, and how your world map library is organized.
Quick Notes
Create a map

Create Map uploads an image and adds it to your library. Large images take a moment to process, and the map cannot be opened until that finishes. The row shows its progress, and a map that failed to process is marked so you can replace it.
Organize with folders

Create Folder adds a folder to group maps by region, session or however you prefer.
A folder's own menu creates a Map or a Folder inside it, and offers Rename and Delete.
Rename or delete a map

Each map's menu holds Open, its share control, Rename and Delete. Open stays unavailable until the map has finished processing.
Drag to reorganize

Maps and folders can be dragged into other folders, or out to the root, to restructure the library without recreating anything.
Expand all folders and Collapse all folders make a large library easier to move things around in.
Find a map

Search by name, and sort with the sort menu: Folder order, A to Z or Z to A.
The All / Shared / Hidden control filters by what players can currently see, which is the quickest way to check nothing is shared that should not be.
Share a map with the party

A map's menu toggles between Share and Hide. Shared maps appear in the players' map list; hidden ones do not exist as far as they are concerned.
Sharing is per map, so you can prepare a whole region in advance and reveal it a piece at a time.
Select several maps at once

Ticking maps and folders brings up a bar reading how many of each you have selected, with All and Clear.
Note that Delete here acts on maps only. Selected folders are deliberately left out, and are deleted from their own row menu instead.
Place a marker

Double-clicking the map opens a new marker with a Title, an Icon, a Color, and a switch for sharing it with players.
A marker can also link to another map, which turns it into a door between the two.
Share markers and hand over control

A marker's menu carries four separate actions rather than toggles: Share, Unshare, Allow Player Control and Remove Player Control, alongside Edit and Delete.
Sharing decides whether players can see it. Player control decides whether they can move it, and your players see that same setting called Can Move.
The marker inspector

Selecting a marker opens an inspector with switches for Shared with players, Players can move, and an Unlocked for dragging lock that stops you nudging markers by accident.
Holding the modifier key the inspector names drags markers without unlocking each one first.
Find markers on a busy map

The marker panel searches by title, sorts by name, and filters by Owner, Shared and Player Control, with a count showing how many filters are active.
Clicking a marker row flies the map to it, which helps when a map is larger than the screen.
Bulk marker operations

Select all markers in view, or tick them individually, then apply Share, Unshare, Allow Player Control or Remove Player Control across the lot.
This is how a prepared encounter gets revealed at once when the party arrives.
