Notes are your character's record of the campaign: folders of writing that are private to you by default, and shareable with the table when you want them read.
Quick Notes
Private and Shared

The switch at the front of the toolbar chooses which half you are looking at: Private is yours alone, Shared is what has been shared with the table.
It sits first so it does not move around as the rest of the toolbar changes, and it is the main thing to orient by on this page.
Create a folder

Folder makes a new folder to organize writing into. Folders can hold folders, up to a limit. Past it, the control tells you folders can only nest so deep.
Create a note

New Note creates a note in the folder you are currently in. Opening it gives you the editor, where its title is edited alongside the writing rather than from the list.
Filter a folder or search everything

These are two different actions and it is worth knowing which you are doing:
Recent notes

The Recent strip holds what you have opened lately, which is usually faster than navigating back through folders mid-session.
Share a note or a folder

A row's menu offers Share, and Unshare once it is shared. Sharing a single note and sharing a whole folder are separate choices, because a folder brings its contents with it.
Shared rows are marked Shared with your table, so you can tell at a glance what is public to the party.
Move and delete in bulk

Selecting rows brings up a bar with Move and Delete. Moving is only available over a selection. There is no move on an individual row's menu.
Deleting names what it is about to remove: Delete Folders, Delete Notes or Delete Files, depending on what you picked.
Writing together

A shared note is edited live. Avatars on the note show who else is in it with you, and their changes arrive as they type.
